2025 York Democrats Campaign Kickoff: What Can Voters Expect?

Despite the inclement weather conditions on Saturday, February 15, over 100 Democrats attended the York Democratic Party’s 2025 Campaign Kickoff event, held at the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Hall in Manchester, Pennsylvania.

 

The event featured speeches from esteemed candidates and representatives. Judge Stella Tsai, a candidate for the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, and Judge Brandon Neuman’s surrogate, a candidate for PA Superior Court, provided insights into their respective campaigns. Additionally, Representative Carol Hill-Evans and York County Commissioner Doug Hoke shared crucial updates on various issues.

 

Attendees were also provided with information regarding the significant retention votes scheduled for the state courts in 2025. Furthermore, the York Democratic Party’s Leadership Team presented “Igniting Progress: A Blueprint for Growth, Engagement, and Impact,” outlining the party’s strategic objectives for the upcoming year. 


The objectives presented focused on increasing the number of volunteers and committee members, voter outreach, voter registration, and fundraising goals for 2025.


“Igniting Progress” outlines the Democratic Party of York County’s strategic plan for the upcoming year. It identifies areas where the party can enhance its performance and effectiveness.


Chad Baker, Chair of the York Democratic Party, acknowledged the public’s frustration and expressed the party’s commitment to providing a platform for individuals to express their concerns and advocate for change. The Executive Leadership presented this plan to both the Executive Committee and the County Committee to demonstrate the party’s vision for the future.


One of the most critical items in this year's election are the five judicial retention votes to be on the ballot in November. The following information was provided:
