
A federal government office in York County used for employees who study water quality is on DOGE’s chopping block.
The Pennsylvania Water Science Center run by the U.S. Geological Survey in Fairview Township appeared on the Department of Government Efficiency's website listing various agency cuts under “Real Estate.” The agency known by its acronym, DOGE, claimed the annual lease of the Limekiln Road facility cost about $778,000. DOGE claims it could save $454,000 by eliminating the facility.
