The Southwestern School Board has requested that the administration remove coverings from windows that were previously cut into two gender-neutral bathrooms in the middle school. This request is the first step in a story published by The York Dispatch.
Yesterday, the story was titled “Inside the Pledge: Far-Right York County School Board Members Must Sign to Receive Key PAC’s Endorsement.”
This development follows President Trump’s signing of an Executive Order to abolish the federal Department of Education, for which he appointed former wrestling magnate Linda McMahon to lead.
For several years, the far-right has prioritized creating animosity through perceived social issues they believe are prevalent in schools. They have demonstrated a lack of interest in supporting students, faculty, and administration through policies that fail to enhance education standards and provide greater opportunities for all parties involved. Furthermore, their focus on school safety is questionable, given the alarming rise in school shootings each year.
Our schools are under siege in York County, and the far-right Pennsylvania Economic Growth PAC, with its clandestine warehouse meetings with current elected officials, candidates, and others, is spearheading this assault. Drawing inspiration from Mom’s For Liberty, these candidates will prioritize their own interests over the well-being of our students.
Our children cannot afford to allow these school boards, MAGA-aligned candidates, and the Pennsylvania Economic Growth PAC to secure victory in November.
Please assist the York Democrats in supporting candidates who are devoid of agendas. We must support candidates who will prioritize the education, growth, and safety of our students, educators, and administrators.
